Tuscany, Sarteano (SI)Dating back to the 18th century, this villa is a former sharecropping farmhouse that has been transformed into charming rustic retreat sleeping up to 12 guests. The two-storey property exudes the simple rustic charm that is typical of this particular area of Tuscany. Whitewashed walls, original exposed wooden beams, terracotta tiled floors and open log-burning fireplaces create a welcoming haven of comfort and tranquillity. There are two large sitting rooms, each with a fireplace, dining room with 20-seater dining table and a large country kitchen. Divided between the ground floor and first floor are five double bedrooms and one twin bedded room. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms, dressing rooms and views of the surrounding 6,000m² gardens. Outside there is the pool, sheltered al fresco dining terrace, Summer kitchen and barbecue area. A vegetable garden supplies the house with much of its produce and for an additional charge, daily lunches, dinners or barbecues can be provided by the Chef using locally sourced, primarily organic ingredients. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are available.
